What Are The Financial Requirements?

For a new licence you will need to satisfy the Department that you have adequate financial resources to launch and administer the business.

For both a National and International Licence you will be required to show evidence of £6,200 for the first vehicle and £3,400 for any additional vehicles. The supporting evidence can be either in cash or loan/overdraft facilities. Up-to-date statements may be requested at any stage throughout the application.

From 1 October 2001 proof of finance is required for both new and renewal applications.

As Road Service licences are renewed annually, proof of finance will only be necessary at the end of each five year cycle thereafter.
