How Is Good Repute Decided?
- In deciding this, the Department needs to know about any convictions (not only those in
relation to passenger vehicles or motoring offences) which have occurred in the United Kingdom or
the European Community. The application form asks for details of convictions of all Partners, Directors
and any nominated Transport Manager.
- You, your company, your directors, partners or transport manager should declare any offence incurred in the last 5 years or any unspent convictions. Convictions which are “spent” under the Rehabilitation of Offenders (NI) Order 1978 need not be
declared, but if you are in doubt about whether this applies declare them anyway. If they are spent
the Department is not allowed to take them into account.
- You must notify the Department if you, a Partner, Director or any nominated Transport Manager
in your application are convicted of any offence after the application is sent in and before the Department
reaches a decision on it.
