Refusal Of A Licence
Can the Department refuse to grant a Licence?
The Department must refuse to grant you a Road Service Licence if you do not satisfy the requirements of good repute, financial standing or professional competence.
A Road Service Licence may also be refused if the Department is not satisfied as to your previous conduct in the use of passenger vehicles or, if you do not have a suitable operating centre.
Can I appeal against the Department's Decision?
If you have been told that your application for a Road Service Licence has been refused you can write to the Department within 14 days asking for your case to be reviewed. You will be asked to attend a hearing and can speak on your own behalf, or if you prefer you can get someone else to represent you.
