Will My Qualifications Be Valid For National Haulage On The EC?
A national qualification in professional competence is valid for national operations in all European countries.
If you want to operate in the national market of any other EC country, you will need a Certificate of Qualification (COQ) to support your licence application.
You can get this Certificate from the Department or your Licensing Authority (if you live outside Northern Ireland) on payment of a fee.
Please remember however that a National Licence will only cover your operations within the country of establishment. It will not cover you to carry goods between Member States of the European Community for which an International Licence is required.
