Who Is 'The User' Of The Vehicle?

You are 'The User' if you are:

1. the owner of the vehicle;
2. leasing it;
3. buying it under Hire Purchase;
4. hiring it.

If you employ someone to drive one of your vehicles you are still “the user” of the vehicle for operator licensing purposes.

You need an Operator's Licence even if you use a vehicle for reward only for a short period, 2 or 3 weeks, or even just one day.

You may not put another operator's vehicle on to your licence.
