Information About The Medical Assessment Required If You Are A High Risk Offender

All applicants who are considered a High Risk Offender will have to pay to undergo a medical assessment and will be charged a higher fee of £85.00 for the issue of their Driving Licence. The fee for the medical assessment is £85.50.

This assessment will involve an examination and blood tests and will be conducted by a specified medical examiner who is based in Belfast. The applicant will be required to pay for all travel expenses incurred in attending this examination.

If you have been disqualified until tested, you will NOT be allowed to drive during medical investigations.

If a medical condition is recognised you may be refused a driving licence or you may be given a shorter period licence, which will be subject to medical review.
