Once you have sent the form

It usually takes 10 working days from the date of receipt of your form at DVA until your licence is issued, but allow 20 working days for delivery, or more if there are health or other details to be considered.

When contacting the Customer Enquiry Unit, you will need to provide your driver number or your full name, address and date of birth.

When you telephone you will be answered by our interactive voice system. However during office hours, callers will also be given the option of speaking to an operator. Please note some calls are monitored for quality purposes. If you ring on someone else's behalf we will not release information from a driver's record without the licence holder's permission.

NB: In the unlikely event that you do not receive your driving licence then you must contact the Agency within a reasonable time. Failure to contact the Agency within 12 weeks will result in you having to pay a fee for a replacement licence.
