What Happens If I Do Not Pay?

If the vehicle is not claimed within 24 hours of clamping it will be removed and impounded.

The release fees will then increase to £160 plus storage fees of £15 per day plus a valid tax disc or surety payment. DVLNI will then notify you in writing that the vehicle has been impounded, provided you are registered on our records as the current keeper of the vehicle.

Vehicles not claimed within the period specified in our letter will be disposed of by crushing or selling at auction.

A clamped, unlicensed vehicle, left in the pound for two weeks will cost £490 to have it released.
