Release of information about yourself
The Data Protection Act gives you the right to obtain information held about you from DVLNI record. Requests for information should be made in writing, together with a £10 fee to the following addresses:
Information from vehicle records
Driver & Vehicle Licensing Northern Ireland, Vehicle Enquiries Section, Castlerock Road, COLERAINE, Co Londonderry, BT51 3TA quoting your full name, address and the registration number of your vehicle.
You can also use the Vehicle Enquiry service to check what information DVLNI holds on its database about a vehicle.

Use the V888NI, V888NI/2 or V888NI/3 form to apply for information from Driver and Vehicle Northern Ireland (DVLNI) vehicle records.
Overview
If you want to find out information about a vehicle and its owner, you can apply to request this information from DVLNI. Information however, will only be released if you are entitled to receive it, for example if you can show 'reasonable cause' to require it.
