Where To Tax Your Vehicle

All Vehicle Licences can be renewed at any of the 8 Local Vehicle Licensing Offices throughout Northern Ireland or by posting direct to :

Licences can also be renewed at selected Post Office® Branches in Northern Ireland, using the V11(NI) tax reminder notice and at some selected Post Office® Branches using a V10(NI) form.

You can tax your vehicle 15 days before the end of the month and up to 14 days after the beginning of the new month using your V11 (NI) reminder form.

If you use a V10 (NI) tax renewal / change of keeper and/or address form you can tax your vehicle at the selected Post Office ® Branches which are listed below, which offer the V10 (NI) re-licensing service.

Please Note: Post Office® Branches are unable to process applications that require a Tax Class change.

If you are the registered keeper of a vehicle and you do not have a V11 (NI) tax reminder notice, you can apply on a V10 (NI) form 15 days before the end of the month and up to 14 days after the beginning of the new month, providing that you supply the Post Office® Branch with your registration certificate V5C(NI) and your current tax disc.

If you are the new keeper of a vehicle and you have received section 10, New Keeper Supplement (V5C/2) of the registration certificate V5C(NI) from the previous keeper, you can tax your vehicle 15 days before the end of the month and up to 14 days after the beginning of the new month providing you can supply the current tax disc to the Post Office® Branch.

You cannot tax a vehicle at any Post Office® Branch if you do not have the appropriate documentation.

The documents required will be listed on your renewal form.
